Las indagaciones en torno a la edilicia pública en clave moderna condujeron a reflexionar sobre el lugar o la recolocación del concepto de carácter dentro de los discursos autofundantes de la arquitectura moderna; esto implicó volver sobre los fundamentos teóricos de las teorías del carácter. Teniendo en cuenta por un lado los elementos de la arquitectura en la tradición clásica y su reformulación luego de la Revolución francesa, y por otro los desafíos que los procesos de modernización presentaron a la cultura arquitectónica hacia fines del siglo xix, este trabajo propone analizar el concepto de carácter como elemento vital dentro de un sistema integral de pensamiento arquitectónico. A partir de dos revisiones historiográficas contrastantes publicadas en la década de los ochenta se realiza una selección de autores que se ocupan de este concepto. Their productions are studied chronologically as primary sources of the French architectural theory. El presente escrito tiene como objetivo discutir la posibilidad de establecer los elementos básicos para una reflexión acerca de la relación entre el análisis y el proyecto como estructura de una metodología operativa. Confronta las ideas planteadas por varios autores que, de una u otra manera, han contribuido a la construcción de una teoría del proyecto arquitectónico a partir de la noción de tipo, donde este se concibe como una invariante formal que se revela en obras diversas de arquitectura y se sitúa al nivel de la estructura profunda de la forma. También, establece la idea de tipo como un proceso cognoscitivo a través del cual la realidad de la arquitectura manifiesta su contenido primordial y, simultáneamente, como un método operativo que encarna la base misma del acto de proyectar.AbstractThe present paper has the objective of discussing the possibility to establish the basic elements for a reflection about the relationship between the analysis and the project as structure of an operative methodology. It confronts the ideas outlined by several authors that, in an or another way they have contributed to the construction of a theory of the architectural project starting from the type notion, where this it is conceived as a formal invariants that one reveals in diverse works of architecture and it is located at the level of the deep structure in the way. Arquitectura Participativa: Las Formas de lo Esencial

La arquitectura participativa parte de la necesidad de generar alternativas de hábitat sustentadas en una democratización de los procesos de diseño. En este texto se hace una revisión de los antecedentes desde la antropología, la sociología y el estado actual de la arquitectura participativa en Latinoamérica, haciendo énfasis en sus metodologías, procesos y tipos de relaciones entre arquitecto y comunidad. Se presenta, a modo de conclusión, un panorama crítico de la arquitectura participativa a partir del reconocimiento de tres vertientes principales derivadas de estos tipos de relación, así: arquitecto-dirigente, arquitecto-subalterno y arquitecto-intérprete. AbstractParticipative architecture starts off the necessity of generating sustained alternative habitat in a democratization of the design processes. La ciudad moderna, literalmente hablando. O cómo leer lo que dicen los escritores de ficción sobre los asentamientos.

Se presenta un análisis acerca del papel que juega la metáfora en la relación entre ciudad y literatura, primero como la especulación literaria característica de los teóricos del posmodernismo que, ayudados de sofisticadas comparaciones con distintos cuerpos de conocimiento, escrutan las obras paradigmáticas de la narrativa mundial en busca de claves y pistas implícitas para descifrar el fenómeno urbano, y segundo como la interpretación literal propia de las nuevas aproximaciones en la cual se lee la ciudad con base en las descripciones explícitas que hacen los escritores en sus novelas. Finalmente se concluye que, si bien la visión literaria no es tenida en cuenta por parte de los arquitectos debido a esa carga metafórica, es evidente que la novela en particular ofrece una manera directa para conocer la experiencia que tienen los pobladores del espacio físico de las ciudades, razón más que obvia para ser considerada con más ponderación.AbstractThe article presents an analysis on the role that metaphors play in the relation between literature and the city, firstly, as the characteristic literary speculation of postmodern theorists that look into those paradigmatic books of world literature in search of implicit keys and clues to decipher the urban phenomena by means of sophisticated comparisons with several bodies of knowledge, and secondly, as the more literal interpretations of late outlooks in which the city is read based on the explicit descriptions given by writers on their novels. Finally, the article concludes that, despite the fact that architects do not take into account the point of view of literature precisely because its metaphoric content, it is quite evident that the novel above all offers an unswerving way to be acquainted with what city inhabitants have to say about the experience of the physical space of the city, a more than clear motivation to consider it more seriously.</p

Trazo de las bóvedas de nervaduras mexicanas del Siglo XVI

En este trabajo se estudiaron los templos conventuales mexicanos construidos en el siglo xvi, techados totalmente con bóvedas de nervaduras. El objetivo consistió en identificar sus características geométricas y el origen del trazo de los elementos estructurales que conforman estos templos. Para ello se eligieron cuatro iglesias conventuales en función de la relevancia de sus características geométricas y constructivas para su comportamiento estructural, y por su periodo de construcción. A partir de tratados de construcción de la época se identificó la geometría y el trazo de las bóvedas y algunos aspectos básicos del dimensionamiento de sus contrafuertes. Esto ha servido a fin de establecer una base para el estudio de los lineamientos seguidos por sus constructores en la búsqueda de garantizar la estabilidad de estas edificaciones, así como para estudios posteriores de su comportamiento estructural.AbstractIn this paper were studied the Mexican conventual temples built in the xvi century, roofed totally with ribbed vaults. The objective consisted on identifying its geometric characteristics and the origin of the line of the structural elements that conforms these temples. For this were chosen four conventual churches in function of the relevance of their geometric and constructive characteristics for their structural behavior, and for their period of construction. Starting from treaties of construction of the time it was identified the geometry and the line of the vaults and some basic aspects of the dimensioning of their buttresses. This has served in order to establish a base for the study of the limits continued by their manufacturers in the search of guaranteeing the stability of these constructions, as well as it stops later studies of their structural behavior.</p

Propuesta de diseño para un teatro de 1500 espectadores. Una mirada desde los orígenes de esta tipología arquitectónica

En este artículo se presenta, en síntesis, el resultado del proceso investigativo llevado a cabo como herramienta para el diseño de un nuevo teatro en La habana, Cuba. Para ello se transita por la evolución histórica de los teatros desde sus orígenes con el in de lograr una familiarización con aquellos aspectos relevantes que intervienen en este tipo de arquitectura. Luego, la evolución de esta tipología arquitectónica en Cuba permite conocer los antecedentes inmediatos, las diferentes coniguraciones espaciales empleadas, así como los posibles valores por asumir pretendiendo continuar el patrimonio cultural estudiado, mientras que las tendencias actuales brindan un acercamiento a los nuevos criterios de diseño que se deben tener en cuenta. Por otra parte, el análisis del contexto que se va a intervenir permite la identiicación de los elementos por evaluar para establecer una correcta integración con el medio. Por último, la propuesta arquitectónica muestra la solución adoptada como resultado de los análisis previos.AbstractIn this article it is shown, in synthesis, the result of the process of research taken to end like tool for the design of a new theater in Havana, Cuba. For this purpose the historical evolution of the theaters is examined from their origins with the aim of achieving a familiarization with those outstanding aspects that intervene in this architecture type. Then, the evolution of this architectural typology in Cuba allows to know the immediate records, the different configurations space employees, as well as the possible securities to assume seeking to continue the studied cultural patrimony, while the current tendencies offer an approach to the new design approaches to keep in mind. On the other hand the analysis of the context to intervene allows the identification of the elements to evaluate to establish a correct integration with the means. Lastly the proposal architectural sample the solution adopted as a result of the previous analyses.</p

Un acercamiento al espacio arquitectónico.

Partiendo de que el espacio construido manifiesta las intenciones y experiencias mentales de sus habitantes o constructores, por ejemplo, significados, recuerdos, esquemas constructivos, apego por los lugares, etc., ¿qué tipo de conocimiento es posible acerca del patrimonio cultural intangible relacionado con el espacio construido? Una respuesta se plantea desde los estudios de la complejidad. Se toma como hecho el significado y la concepción de dicho espacio resumiendo así otros factores involucrados, como las reglas lingüísticas y de ordenamiento del entorno en los planos social, territorial y psicológico. Comparando conceptos clave usados en disciplinas dedicadas al tema, como los símbolos y las intenciones expresados en un determinado tiempo-espacio, se proponen los principios de la complejidad para demostrar la recursividad entre distintos niveles de realidad, como el social, mental y territorial. Estudio y Gestión de estándares mínimos de flexibilidad en la Vivienda social en Bogotá

Actualmente, el diseño de vivienda social se debe abordar desde la lexibilidad. Por esta razón, surge la necesidad de que la información de los proyectos de vivienda social produzca un adecuado proceso de gestión para que todos los involucrados en un proyecto determinado puedan tener acceso a la información necesaria de una manera sistemática. Por tanto, convendría plantear la siguiente pregunta: ¿cómo se gestiona la información de los estándares mínimos de lexibilidad de la vivienda social en Bogotá? Un manejo sistemático de estándares mínimos de lexibilidad ayudaría a la comprensión integral de los problemas y permitiría una visión más clara del desarrollo territorial, el hábitat y la concepción espacial. En consecuencia, la gestión de sistemas de información sería la herramienta más adecuada para abordar la lexibilidad de la vivienda de interés social. AbstractCurrently, the design of social housing must be taken on from topic of flexibility. For this reason, the necessity has arisen for the it side of social housing projects to be adequately managed, so that all of those involved in a given project can gain access to the necessary information in a systematic way. It would therefore be appropriate to pose the following question: how does one manage it systems regarding the flexibility minimum standards of social housing in Bogotá? A systematic handling of flexibility minimum standards would help the integral understanding of problems and would allow for a clearer vision of territorial development, habitat and spatial conception. Consequently, It management would be the most appropriate tool for tackling social housing flexibility in Bogotá, since it is a key instrument for giving concrete results in the execution of any architectural project.</p
